  • Asset Management
    This forum is for discussing concepts, practices and procedures related to the field of property management. Topics can include: interim rental and clearance of buildings on properties acquired for rights of way for public and quasi-public purposes, including airports and ports; disposal of real property interests including conveyance of easements, or other interests, necessary for the relocation of streets or utilities; and acquisition, development, leasing of property held by public or quasi-public agencies including multi-use or joint use of rights of way and other real property holdings.

    This forum is to provide discussion, advice and assistance related to management operations and policies of Local Public Agencies (LPAs). Discussion of concepts, practices and procedures relating to the acquisition, management and disposition of real property interests for public use or benefit are encouraged. It is also established to provide a venue to examine, monitor and report on legislative actions pertaining to such practices or procedures.

    This forum is to facilitate dialogue concerning geomatics (professional land surveying) or engineering as those topics relate to issues surrounding rights to public infrastructure. Questions or suggestions of best practices are welcomed on diverse subjects such as complicated property limit definitions, ambulatory boundaries, subaqueous or subterranean utility locations, mapping and the like.

    This forum is to provide discussion, advice and assistance related to methods, or procedures, for placing a value on real property or interests in real property for right-of-way purposes. Discussion on concepts, practices and procedures related to measuring the economic impact of right-of-way acquisition, and subsequent construction, on the affected parcel and any remainder parcel are encouraged. It is also established to provide a venue to examine, monitor and report on legislation or changes in legislation pertaining to such methods or procedures.
