Trespass Abatement and Adverse Possession

Postby AishaC on Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:26 am

Hello to all:

I am looking for court cases and other examples of how utility companies are handling adverse possession problems. Specifically case citations, notes and comments.

I am currently pulling from the web but nothing beats the networking in IRWA to get specifics and references. Any suggestions are helpful.

Thanks.

adverse possession

In the State of Maryland the time period is 20 years and the possession
must be open, notorious, continuous, and hostile
for the statutory time.

Hi Aisha!

Adverse possession in OK is 15 years... same conditions as Doug's reply.

If you have time, you might check out this site...
http://www.oscn.net...Oklahoma State Court Network. There are links to take you to court cases in OK since 1986? ...both Appellate and Supreme.
